I love their radiators, this os the second one we've bought and we plan on several more. I only have one issue and that is the roadside delivery. Luckily for me I had some builders working on an extension the day this radiator arrived - although the rad was entirely unconnected to the job they were doing they were kind enough to carry it into the house. I just don't know what I would have done otherwise and it worries me for future purchases

Short Princess 2 Column 560mm Cast Iron Radiator

Weight to BTU ratio, this is at the heavier end. I have a short 4 column 3200 BTU radiator which weighs less than my c. 2500 BTU short princess. Two of us really struggled to move this little beast inside the house after delivery and I'm not unused to lifting heavy things.
However, does show you are buying a proper piece of pig iron from a foundry.
Unlike the four column, I haven't noticed any Chinese stamps on the metal work indicating the foundry it is from, though I'm sure it too is from China.
The gun metal grey is a great colour choice for performance as darker colours radiate heat better.
From a safety perspective, because of its weight we will be ensuring it is very well tied to the wall.
For anyone who went to a school that still had its edwardian era radiators stoically keeping the classroom room this brings a huge element of nostalgia.

We wanted a shorter radiator that would fit under our bedroom window that pumped out a high BTU for its length but didn't take up much space. The 4 column is perfect for that. It doesn't actually protrude that much from a short window sill.
Prepare to be surprised by the weight. They are incredibly heavy. That said I've purchased a four column of about 3200 BTU which is less heavy than the duchess of 2500 BTU.
Also note that the foundry that casts these is Chinese. The sections are assembled in the UK, but the actual casts are done in china. Each section of the four column has the tell tale Chinese stamp of the foundry on it towards the top on the inside edge.
Colour wise, the gun metal is surprisingly elegant and able to go with a lot of interiors. Matt dark colours radiate heat better than lighter shiny colours so you'll get better performance if you go dark and matt.

Extremely pleased with everything. The radiator looks stunning, as well as the valves. I am not one to go on about this sort of stuff, but I spent a lot on this, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. It sets my new country kitchen off well. Above all else, my wife loves it, which in the end makes my life easier!!! Postage was expensive, but the weight of the thing explained all. Delivered when they said it would be. I can find no fault at all. I have another project planned for 6 months time. Will use this company again.
