Why are cast iron radiators good for heat pumps?

Cast iron radiators are particularly effective for heat pumps as they can accommodate the lower running temperatures better than an aluminium or steel panel radiator. Cast iron radiators have a much larger internal volume and impressive heat retention, so the radiator will stay warm long after the heat pump has cycled off.
