A traditional gas boiler will operate at temperatures of around 60–70°C, while a heat pump will run at a lower flow temperature of around 45°C to 55°C. In a well insulated home, this could go down to 40°C. To determine the flow temperature, we need to consider the property as a whole, including the insulation and the size and configuration of the radiators.
